One of the strangest things about writing is that stories rarely arrive when you expect them.
You finish a manuscript. You tell yourself you'll take a break. You catch up on neglected projects, read a few books, maybe even convince yourself you've earned some time away from the keyboard.
Then an idea appears.
Not all at once. Usually as a fragment. A question. An image that refuses to leave.
The more you ignore it, the more persistent it becomes.
Lately, I've found myself returning to familiar territory. The sort of stories that first made me want to become a writer in the first place—stories filled with mystery, uncertainty, and the unsettling feeling that something isn't quite right.
So I've gone back to the notebook.
We'll see where it leads.
As always, thank you for joining me on the journey.
